The correct answer is C., because they did the steps correctly.

A is not right because you're not supposed to add the cost ( $25 ) to the money saved for the expenses. ( it would be $22 since you already minus out the 8.29 cost )

B is also not correct because you do not subtract the cost from another cost. ( 24.89 - 8.29 )
