The Excerpt explains the Citizenship of the United States

The adoption of the 14th amendment in the constitution of the United States, on July 9, 1868, declared the citizenship of the person born in the United States to be controlled by the Citizenship Clause. Also, America valued the contribution of immigrants, therefore it, granted the citizenship to Foreign Citizens through the process of Naturalization. This amendment was proposed in response to issues related to slaves following the American Civil War, therefore the said amendment addressed the citizenship rights and equal protection of the laws.
