Teachers use homework as a rating to see your understanding if it needs improvement or if your alright to where you are. Teachers obviously expect student to learn from their homework. I am a student and I don't go to public school but homework was honestly helpful because I could review what I have learned during class and see where am I standing from a rate of 1-10 and if I 'm 5 then I'll try to improve.
