Stand back 6 feet, and aim at the base of the fire.
Press the top button, and sweep the extinguisher from side to side.

Avoid inhaling the dry chemical agent.
Do not incinerate the container.
Do not spray toward a person’s face.

Testing the extinguisher reduces its pressure.

First Aid

The chemical agent inside the extinguisher isn’t toxic. However, it may cause skin irritation. If your skin comes in contact with the agent, flush the area with cool water. If the irritation persists, contact a physician immediately.
