The first thing the nurse should do is assess and plan interventions for the client’s nutrition. It is important that a nurse consulting with dietitian/nutritionist in order to provide information about the client’s dietary needs. The client’s dietary requirements should be determined, the nutritional goals should be set, and the ways to meet those goals should be explored.
