Mr.Webster is buying carpet for an exercise room in his basement. The room will have an area of 230 square feet. The width of the room is 12 1/2 feet.What is the length? Please explain the calculation, Thanks!

The length is 18.5
Since you have to multiply length by width to get area you divide area by width to get length. It’s just working backwards
