The mid brain
The mid brain is the brain structure that is responsible for kayla reflexively turning her head toward the loud noise .
The midbrain is the upper part of the brainstem that connects the brain and the spinal cord. The midbrain is divided into three main parts which are; the colliculi, the tegmentum, and the cerebral peduncles. The midbrain helps to transmit information for vision and hearing including motor control, alertness, sleep/wake, and temperature control.
