the first would be to install a good antivirus software. this is a good way to protect your computer especially when surfing the net as the antivirus software filters potential viruses and phising sites.
the second method - do not install suspicious softwares
the third would be- always check if the website you are surfing has https and not http . the extra 's' is security and its important.
