Margaret Cavendish (1623-1673) was a renown scientist writer that wrote 14 books on the subject. Biographers refers her as a flamboyant woman that liked public attention She married the Duke of Newcastle, William Cavendish. In his works of science, she critiziced other scientists that did not like the idea that a woman could challenge them. Indeed, some philosophers and scientists criticized Margaret Cavendish because they accused her of taking credit for her husband’s work. But she said that her husband defended her of the accusations.
