Think of a hypothesis more of a wild guess and a Theory is when you observe something then theorize what would you think will happen.

A hypothesis is something you test while a theory is something that has been proven. A theory is a well-sustained explanation, for it has been tested several times. Many hypotheses come together and form a theory if all have been repeatedly tested and support one another.
Both a hypothesis and a theory can be proved right or wrong through experimentation.
