If a fish tank contains 14 goldfish and 26 guppies if you randomly select to fish what is the probability that they are both goldfish

14/40 is the answer because you have to add the gold fish and guppies together to get your denominator

You have to do 14/40 x 13/39, which is 182/1560.

This is because when the first fish is removed, the total number goes down one, as well as the number of goldfish. Thus, the ratios are different.
