Mary shelley's classical novel Frankenstein was written in 1818, a time at which Europe was experiencing many social and economic changes product of the industrial revolution.The light and fire that was needed for the creature to come alive, was an analogy of the enlightenment and knowledge of that era, while the making of the creature by Victor Frankenstein is a reflection on how the science and the technology was pushed to the limits during the industrial revolution. As a consequence the society have to deal with a monster created by reckless progress.
