Brittney Griner, an American basketball player known for refusing to come out of the locker room until after the National Anthem had concluded has just been released from Russia where she was found guilty of brining drugs into the country, a "mistake" that she admitted to being true. She was released as a part of a prisoner swap for Viktor Bout. Paul Whelan is a former Marine to has been locked-up in Russia for over 4 years and possibly committed no crime at all. Some people are upset that Brittney, (admittedly guilty) was exchanged for Viktor while Paul (presumed innocent) is still locked up. Brittney has arrived back in America and was even given the 225,000.00 of salary she missed while being locked up. Read the following article about Viktor Bout and state whether you think it was a fair trade. Also, after being freed at such a high price, do you think Brittney has an obligation to at least stand during the National Anthem before games or should she continue to exercise her right to protest America by remaining in the locker room?
