place value. To help, you can use patterns in the number of Os in the factors of a
product and the number of Os in the product.
a. Look at the partial products used to find the product of 512
and 24. Compare the number of zeros in each partial product
to the number of zeros in its factors. Look at both red and
blue zeros. Describe any patterns you see.
