Text Paragraph 9
In 1958 massive 16-inch human-like
footprints were found at a logging site
in Northern California. A newspaper
gave the owner of the prints a now
infamous moniker: Bigfoot. With that, a
new legend was born in America.
Inspired by stories of Sasquatch,
Bigfoot was believed the be neither
human nor animal. And though the
Sasquatch legend had existed for
years, Bigfoot's footprints became a
media sensation. Newspapers began
publishing Bigfoot sightings. Curious
explorers started to capture supposed
evidence through photos and film.
